Our on-site ladder service covers the inspection of all access equipment located on your premises, from general ladders, step ladders to machine stairways, scaffold towers and working platforms.

We provide on-site inspections, repairs and testing for all height access equipment to the required EN standard.

How Frequently Should Ladders Be Inspected?

It is recommended that ladders and steps, that are used on a daily basis, should have a written, recorded inspection by a competent person every 3 months. As part of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), This can be done by your own personnel if required as long as they are competent with the item.

With a full inspection and test Annually by a qualified individual, all employers, managers have the responsibility to provide employees with correct equipment for the task and, more importantly that this is safe and fit for purpose.

H&S requirements state that accurate records of these inspections and tests must be recorded and kept, and that the equipment is maintained and used in a safe way to prevent any serious injury or even death.

Replacement and Quality Repair Of Faulty Ladders

Any damaged equipment MUST be repaired or taken out of service and replaced.

Fire Ladders & Equipment if required can: remove damaged/faulty items and provide new replacements.
